Jonathan L. Brehm
ATTORNEY
Jon represents clients in both state and federal courts, primarily as a civil litigator. Jon’s practice covers municipal and civil liability, insurance litigation, workers’ compensation defense, and construction law. He joined Butler Law Firm in 2015.
Jon received his J.D. and D.C.L. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2012 and his B.A. from Tulane University. He was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Anthony Marabella, 19th Judicial Court in Baton Rouge, and active in LSU Law Clinic. Previously, Jon spent many years as a Teach for America corps member.
Jon lives in Metairie, LA with his wife Courtney.
Professional experience
Prior to joining Butler Law Firm in 2015, Mr. Brehm’s law practice included Taxpayer Defense in Lafayette and Insurance Litigation in Baton Rouge. Additionally, Mr. Brehm had extensive career experience prior to becoming a lawyer. Mr. Brehm spent many years as a Teach for America corps member and English/Language Arts teacher at Alcee Fortier High School in New Orleans, and he was a small business owner after Hurricane Katrina.
At Butler Law Firm, Mr. Brehm represents a wide range of clients in both state and federal courts, primarily as a civil litigator. Most of Mr. Brehm’s practice is focused in municipal and civil liability, business representation, insurance litigation, construction litigation, worker’s compensation defense, civil rights, personal injury, defamation and privacy torts, toxic torts, asbestos litigation, tutorship and successions.
